Since its inception in 1982, the Friends of Vista House has grown and thrived through the generous support and commitment of its volunteers.
Interpretive volunteers answer questions and give directions at the information desk located in the rotunda of the Vista House. New volunteers receive training and an orientation tour with our docent George Perry. They then go on to work with seasoned volunteers at the interpretation desk. All volunteers receive annual updates. Our volunteers enjoy complimentary trips on area attractions such as the Sternwheeler and Mt. Hood Railroad, and at season’s end, all are treated to the annual volunteer appreciation event!
Folk Art/Author Volunteers
When Vista House is open, volunteer folk artists demonstrate their crafts, and authors discuss and sign their books.
